About

Built by someone who kept walking into the problem.

Nebuscent did not start in a product meeting. It started in emergency departments and inpatient units, where malodor is a daily reality and the available answers have never been good enough.

The company

A longstanding problem that had quietly been accepted.

Nebuscent was developed in response to a longstanding and overlooked challenge in healthcare environments: the effective management of malodors. Our founder's clinical and operational experience highlighted the impact that uncontrolled odors have on patient dignity, staff performance and facility reputation.

Recognising the limitations of traditional odor masking approaches, Nebuscent was engineered as a purpose-built system designed to actively capture and control malodor at the source. The technology was developed specifically for healthcare environments, with a focus on reliability, safety, compliance and seamless integration into existing clinical workflows.

The company is committed to supporting healthcare organisations in maintaining environments that reflect the highest standards of patient care. By helping reduce odor-related distractions, Nebuscent lets clinicians stay focused on care delivery while improving the experience for patients, families, visitors and staff.

Leadership

Aarian P. Afshari, M.D., FACEP

President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Afshari is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, with extensive clinical leadership experience in high-volume hospital systems. He completed his residency at Emory University School of Medicine and Grady Memorial Hospital's Marcus Trauma Center, one of the world's busiest Level 1 trauma centers.

Drawing on years of firsthand experience in emergency departments and inpatient settings, he recognised the need for a clinically safe, highly effective and discreet odor elimination solution that improves both the patient and the staff experience.

With a track record in operations, innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration, he continues to lead Nebuscent's growth with a focus on clinical excellence, regulatory standards and compliance, and on improving staff satisfaction, patient experience and facility reputation.

What we hold to

Three commitments that shaped the product.

Safe in an occupied room

No aerosols, no heavy fragrance, no essential oils. A product used around unwell people should not introduce a new problem for the ones who are nauseated or scent-sensitive.

Honest about what it is

Nebuscent manages odor. It is not a medical device, not a disinfectant and not an infection-control measure, and we will not let it be sold as one.

Usable by whoever is there

If a product needs training, a protocol and a champion to survive, it will not last on a busy floor. One button was the design brief, not a simplification of it.
